PIER, Physicians Information and Education Resource, is an evidence-based point-of-care tool from the American College of Physicians. Designed for quick access to the most current clinical information gathered from RCTs, cohort and observational studies, case reports and expert opinion, PIER offers new and updated modules each month on topics such as Diseases, Screening & Prevention, Complementary / Alternative Medicine, Ethical & Legal Issues, Procedures and Quality Measures as well as Drugs. These modules can now be downloaded to your PDA. For assistance using or downloading PIER, please fill out the Ask-A-Librarian form found on the library’s home page under Handy Services or visit the library’s reference desk. Additional resources for PDAs and other mobile devices can be found in the Libraries’ PDA Toolkit.
PIER is available to NYU faculty, staff, and students via the Stat!-Ref platform in two formats: PIER via the Web and PIER for the PDA (download).
