NWHM: Lilian Wald

Lillian Wald was a pioneer in the field of public health nursing. She has often been credited with starting the public health movement in the United States (Biography Resource Center). In addition to her passion to serve the community, Wald was also an advocate for underserved populations; namely women, children, and immigrants.
