Opening Reception for Ted Meyer’s Scarred for Life

Ehrman Medical Library presents Scarred for Life by Ted Meyer.

Ted Meyer is a Los Angeles based artist whose work has been shown at the National Museum of Health and Medicine, the Chicago Cultural Center, and the Moscone Center in San Francisco.

Like other exhibits sponsored by the library, Meyer’s art represents the body’s complex relationship with health and sickness. Scarred for Life is a bold, colorful series of mono-prints of human scars, which graphically detail the injuries, illnesses, surgeries, and healings that transform human lives.

We hope you will be able to join us for the opening reception on Wednesday, May 13 from 6:00 to7:30 pm in the Smilow Gallery where refreshments will be served and in the Smilow first floor seminar room where Ted Meyer will give an artist’s lecture. The exhibit runs from May 4th through June 15th.
