The NYU Health Sciences Libraries now subscribe to approximately 9,000 biomedical and 10,000 other relevant full text electronic journal titles. Many journals are available from more than one source. For example, Lancet is available through 4 different vendors, and the North American Edition is available through 3 vendors. In many cases, the years covered by each source or the frequency of updates can vary, thus making it important for the library to offer several different links. Because of the large number of listings, alphabetical lists of resources available from the "E-Resources" section of the library Web page are becoming cumbersome to use as finding tools and can be slow to load.
The "E-Resources Quick Search" box, available on the Ehrman Library Web page, is designed to streamline access to electronic journals. You may search by title, keyword(s), part of the title (title string) title abbreviation or ISSN. If the library subscribes, links to the journal will display. Please note that exact spelling is required for this service.
Over the coming year, we will be redesigning our web site to add improvements that accommodate changes in information services over the last few years. Please submit your ideas about this to our suggestion box.
