MayoClinic.Com provides clearly written health and disease information. A number of interactive tools, such as healthy lifestyle planners and disease self-managers are also featured. All material on the site is developed and/or reviewed by Mayo Clinic physicians and researchers, with updates each weekday.

A service of the National Library of Medicine and the National Institutes of Health, the accredited MedlinePlus offers selected, organized links to information on more than 600 health topics. There are also a medical encyclopedia, medication information, links to clinical trials, health news, and interactive tutorials.
- New York State Department of Health - Information for Consumers
The New York State Department of Health's web site features information aimed at consumers on topics such as patient rights, health and wellness, obtaining vital records, statistics, and insurance. Short on glitzy graphics and long on practical information, it’s well worth a visit.
- NOAH*
NOAH (New York Online Access to Health) strives to provide organized access to online health information that is accurate, timely, relevant, and unbiased.
- Patient & Family ResourceCenter*
The Patient & Family Resource Center, NYU Medical Center’s consumer health library, provides a website of selected, organized links to online consumer health information, including all of the websites on this list, plus many more. Links to consumer health information in Chinese, Russian, and Spanish are featured.
