- DART/ETIC: Developmental & Reproductive Toxicology
Developmental and Reproductive Toxicology (DART)/Environmental Teratology Information Center (ETIC) is a bibliographic database covering teratology and other aspects of developmental and reproductive toxicology. Searchable by chemical name, Chemical Abstracts Service Registry Number (RN), title words, author, and/or subject terms.
- GENE-TOX: Genetic Toxicology (Mutagenicity)
Created by the Environmental Protection Agency, GeneTox is a toxicology data file containing genetic toxicology (mutagenicity) test data on over 3,000 chemicals from expert peer review of the open scientific literature. Searchable by chemical name or name fragment, other name, Chemical Abstracts Service Registry Number (RN), and/or subject terms.
- HSDB: Hazardous Substances Data Bank
HSDB focuses on the toxicology of potentially hazardous chemicals. Contents include information on human exposure, industrial hygiene, emergency handling procedures, environmental fate, and regulatory requirements. HSDB is peer-reviewed and is organized into individual chemical records.
- TOXNET
A collection of databases on toxicology, hazardous chemicals, and related areas.
- TOXLINE: Toxicology Bibliographic Information
TOXLINE is a bibliographic database for toxicology from the National Library of Medicine. Records provide information covering the biochemical, pharmacological, physiological, and toxicological effects of drugs and other chemicals. TOXLINE references are derived from various sources grouped into two parts--TOXLINE Core (standard toxicology journals) and TOXLINE Special (specialized journals, reports, and archival material).
- TRI: Toxic Release Inventory
TRI is based on EPA collection data on the annual estimated releases of toxic
chemicals into the environment. This series covers the 1987-2001 reporting years. Air, water, land, and underground injection releases data available. Data on transfers to waste sites, waste treatment methods and efficiency, source reduction, and recycling also included.
- Embase (Ovid)
Embase is a major biomedical and pharmaceutical database indexing over 3,500 international journals including the areas of public health, occupational health, and environmental health, among many other fields.
- MEDLINE (Ovid)
The National Library of Medicine's database of journal citations currently indexing over 4,500 journals and containing more that 12 million citations. The majority of publications in MEDLINE are scholarly journals covering biomedicine and health.
