MEDLINE (Ovid)
Produced by the National Library of Medicine (NLM), MEDLINE is the premier biomedical database, which is licensed by Ovid Technologies and contains citations from approximately 4,600 biomedical journals.
In addition to linking to over 300 full-text journals within Ovid, an NYU Health Sciences Libraries link
is provided that links to over 10,000 electronic resources.

PubMed (NLM)
Produced by the NLM, PubMed is the free public/publisher’s version of MEDLINE. In addition to the MEDLINE database, publishers submit their records directly to PubMed.

Embase (Elsevier)
Produced by the Elsevier publishing company, this database is an essential counterpart to MEDLINE. It is international in scope and has its major strength in the drug literature. Embase covers over 3,500 international journals, covering 70 countries.
