- Access Medicine NYULMC
As of July 17, 2007, the process of getting AccessMedicine content to your PDA has been simplified. Now, generic full-text PDA-readable files are available from a link on most content pages. These files are readable on any PDA that can view HTML files. Simply find the content you want, click "PDA Download" and sync the file to your PDA. Download text from Harrison's, HURST'S the Heart, Williams Obstetrics and other textbooks to their PDA.
- Access Surgery NYULMC
An integrated online resource, Access Surgery provides medical students, surgical residents, and practicing surgeons with quick answers to surgical inquiries from trusted sources.
- ATP III Cholesterol Management Tool:


This interactive guideline tool will assist the clinician in implementing the ATP III Cholesterol Guidelines at the point of care. Note the ATP III update information on the website.
- Clinical Xpert: NYULMC

Formerly Micromedix, Thomson’s Clinical Xpert offers PDA access for 5 drug databases: Drug Info, Alternative Medicine Info, Acute Care Info, Toxicology Info, and a Drug Interaction Tool.
- Clinical Pharmacology On-Hand NYULMC
CP OnHand provides detailed drug descriptions, indications, interactions, precautions/contraindications, classifications, adverse reactions, pregnancy/lactation, administration and dosage forms/strengths. Through IV Alerts, easily and accurately check the compatibility of two or more intravenous products and/or solutions when mixed in solution or a syringe, or via a Y-site administration.
- EBM Calculator:


This calculator includes evidence-based calculations for diagnostic tests, prospective studies, case control studies, randomized controlled trials, and converts ORs to NNTs
- EBM Tables:


Includes NNT tables, LR tables, and SnNouts/SpPins tables
- EndNote: NYULMC
The EndNote application for Palm OS® handheld devices uses a format that supports all of the reference types and fields used in the desktop EndNote application. You can enter EndNote references into your desktop version of EndNote and/or into your handheld device. You can then synchronize files between your desktop EndNote library and your handheld EndNote library using standard HotSync® commands. Consult your EndNote documentation for instructions.
- ePocrates:

Popular drug database available free for Palm and PocketPC platforms. The free version contains MedMath, Fahreneit/Celsius converter, PHQ-9 Depression Checklist, and INR, Cholesterol and BMI calculators. Also available by subscription with extra features such as an alternative medicine database and tables
- Eponyms:

Dictionary of over 1,400 eponyms
- JournalToGo:

This program allows you to select “channels” and delivers journal abstracts within those channels, such as Family Practice, Major Medical Journals, and Women's Health
- MedRules:


An educational tool for common rules such as breast cancer risk (Gail), DVT probability, Ottawa ankle rules, and UTI diagnosis. This resource is not frequently updated—check website for details.
- Palm EKG:

An ECG/EKG field guide featuring 25 arrhythmias

- Unbound Medicine
NYULMC
Unbound Central, a product of Unbound Medicine, is "an institutional gateway to knowledge resources on PDAs, wireless devices, and the Web." Includes Unbound Surgery, Pocket Guide to Diagnostic Tests and Current Consult Medicine for the desktop and PDA!
- WISER


WISER is a system designed to assist first responders in hazardous material incidents. WISER provides a wide range of information on hazardous substances, including substance identification support, physical characteristics, human health information, and containment and suppression advice.

Infrared (IR) port
The Ehrman Medical Library currently offers infrared ports for Web syncing located near the Information Desk in the Main Reading Room and on the Mezzanine level of the Library. The Bellevue Hospital Library also has a synching station.The IR port allows you to sync your Palm with your networked desktop computer or quickly update your AvantGo and ePocrates channels with a touch of a button.
To set up your Palm and sync to the IR port, please see Instructions for using IR Syncing Port. You may also sync to your NYU networked computer, AvantGo and ePocrates with your PocketPC.
To download software, simply follow the instructions posted near the IR port in the Main Reading Room.
