Student Paid Internships and Volunteer Opportunities
The NYU Health Sciences Libraries offer several project-based internships throughout the year. Internships are designed to provide interns with experience through the planning, and execution of tasks that contribute to the work of a major academic medical library and enhance their professional portfolio. Internships may provide the opportunity to work on several projects depending on the applicant's abilities, experience, and availability. Projects are determined by the library, but students may submit work performed for the library toward an assignment or credit at their educational institution. The typical internship is 12 - 15 hours per week, for a minimum of 16 weeks at a rate of $12 - $15 per hour depending on experience. Internships are available during regular business hours (Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm). Internships are available in the following library departments:
