MARC MeSH Subject Authority
support for Medical Library OPACs

This is the download and home site for m[n]m, a suite of perl scripts that provide support for processing of national standard MARC MeSH subject authority records for use in Medical Library online public access catalogs. m[n]m is freely available under the GNU Public License.

Release Notes

m[n]m is now at release 1.a (December 1999). This release provides the following changes:

  • mmftu.pl modified to exclude all 650s except 650 x2 (i.e., MeSH). This change allows INNOPAC ftu reports with mixed LCSH and MeSH to be processed without worry that LCSH headings will be inadvertantly searched.

  • mmextract.pl modified to allow matching on MARC fields other than 150. This change accomodates matching on the 001 (ID) field for one-to-one record replacement.
