All of the electronic journals included in the NYU Health Sciences Library’s collection are available to NYU students, faculty, and staff while working offsite.

To find and access full-text articles, you can search the NYULMC version of PubMed from the Library’s website Enter search terms in the PubMed search box located on the center of the Library’s homepage.

PubMed 1

The NYULMC version of PubMed includes direct links to the full text articles where available through the Library’s collection. Once you have found an article, click on the “Access through NYU HSL” link located in the upper right side of the abstract to access the full text.

In some cases, the library has access to electronic journals through multiple providers. You may be directed to a page that lists all providers of the journal article. Click the “Go” button to the right of any provider to access the full text article.  You will be required to authenticate with your Kerberos ID or Net ID and password.

PubMed 3

When you have authenticated you will be taken to the journal page where you will be able to view the full text article and download the article PDF.

PubMed 4

In cases where the full text article is not available through the Library, you will be directed to the Library’s Document Delivery Services page. The Library’s Document Delivery Service can obtain full text articles not available through the Library’s collection free of charge for NYU students, faculty, and staff. Details regarding this service, including turnaround times, are available here.

Note: The NYUHSL Document Delivery and Inter Library Loan Services are now shared with Washington Square Campus and you will need to activate your Net ID to use this service.

Another way to gain access to most of the library’s electronic resources when offsite, is by using the NYUHSL Bookmarklet. Instructions with video tutorials can be found here
